Warning: Fall and suffocation hazard
Infants can fall through a wide leg opening or out of the carrier. Infants under 4 months can suffocate if their face is pressed tight against your body. Read all instructions carefully before using the carrier and keep this guide for future reference.
Quick reference
Weight range: 7 lb to 35 lb (3.2 kg to 16 kg)
Carry positions: front inward, front outward, back carry
Care: cold gentle machine wash, dry in shade, do not tumble dry
Minimum: do not use for a child under 7 lb (3.2 kg) or under 50 cm tall
Safety first
Fall hazard
Adjust the leg openings to fit your child's legs snugly.
Before each use, make sure all buckles, snaps, straps, fasteners and adjustments are secure.
Take special care when leaning or walking.
Never bend at the waist — bend at the knees.
Your child must face toward you until they can hold their head upright.
Only use this carrier for children weighing 7 lb to 35 lb (3.2 kg to 16 kg).
Do not use for a child weighing less than 7 lb (3.2 kg) or measuring less than 50 cm tall.
Do not let your child sleep in the outward-facing position.
Do not use this carrier during sporting activities.
Never leave your child unattended in the carrier.
Your balance may be affected by your movement and your child's. Take extra care on stairs, uneven ground and when bending or leaning forward.
Suffocation hazard
Do not strap your infant too tightly against your body.
Allow room for head movement.
Keep your infant's face free from obstruction at all times.
Constantly monitor your child — ensure their mouth and nose are unobstructed.
Baby's chin should never rest on their chest, as this can partially close the airway.
Always keep at least two fingers' width of clearance beneath baby's chin.
Ensure baby's airway is clear and baby is breathing normally at all times.
Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems and infants under 4 months are at greatest risk of suffocation.
For low birth weight or premature babies, or children with medical or respiratory conditions, seek advice from a health professional before use.
Avoid dressing your child too warmly — check often that they are not overheating.
Do not wrap baby in blankets before placing them in the carrier. Any extra layer must stay away from the face and must not cause overheating.
If feeding or nursing in the carrier, reposition baby upright immediately afterwards — face visible, chin off chest, face not pressed against your body.
Before every use
Check for ripped seams, loose buttons, torn straps or fabric, damaged fasteners, and loose or insecure adjustments.
Stop using the carrier if any part is missing, damaged or not working correctly.
Ensure correct placement of your child, including leg placement.
Regularly check straps and buckles while in use for proper tension and placement.
Regularly check your child is securely seated, especially in the back carry position.
This carrier is intended for use by adults only. Keep it away from children when not in use.
The T.I.C.K.S. safety check
Use this quick check every single time you carry:
Tight — the carrier is snug enough to hold baby close, without restricting breathing or head movement.
In view — baby's face is visible at all times. Nose and mouth are not covered by the carrier, fabric or your body.
Close enough to kiss — baby is high enough that you can tip your head forward and kiss the top of their head.
Keep chin off chest — baby's chin is up and away from their chest, with at least two fingers' width of space under the chin.
Supported back — baby's back is supported in a natural upright position.
This carrier is not a safe sleep product
Do not leave baby asleep unattended or for long periods in the carrier. If baby falls asleep, check breathing and chin position frequently, then move them to a safe sleep environment as soon as possible — on their back, on a flat, firm, level surface, with head and face uncovered. Do not let baby sleep in the outward-facing position.
Precautions for use
Always check
Read all instructions and practise putting the carrier on before using it with your child.
Never use when your balance or mobility is impaired by exercise, drowsiness, illness, medication or medical conditions.
Never use while cooking, cleaning, handling hot items, using chemicals, or any activity exposing your child to heat, flame, sharp objects or hazardous substances.
Be careful with hot beverages to avoid spilling onto baby.
Never wear the carrier while driving or as a passenger in a vehicle.
Never remove the waist belt until your child is fully removed.
Do not use after a fall, accident or impact until fully inspected and confirmed safe.
Take care
As baby becomes more active, the risk of falling out increases.
Never carry more than one child at a time.
Ensure baby is centered, seated deeply, with legs supported and head upright — not slumping down or to the side.
Observe baby's arms, legs and feet regularly to make sure they are not constricted.
Ensure baby's fingers are not caught in a buckle, snap or fastening point.
Always fasten buckles when the carrier is not in use.
Never use in water, while swimming, showering or bathing, or anywhere baby could slip or you could lose footing.

Adjusting the seat width
The base of the carrier has three seat-width settings. Adjust the snap buttons inside the waist belt area to suit your baby's length, weight and stage.
Width
General guide
Fit check
Snap setting
Narrowest
Approx. newborn to 3 months
Minimum 7 lb / 3.2 kg and 50 cm tall
Secure snap A to snap 1.
Middle
Approx. 3 to 9 months
Thighs supported knee to knee without fabric past the knees
Secure snap A to snap 2 and snap B to snap 1.
Widest
Approx. 9 months and older
Up to max 35 lb / 16 kg; also required for outward-facing carry
Secure snap A to snap 3, snap B to snap 2 and snap C to snap 1.
Important
The seat must support baby from thigh to thigh, with knees higher than bottom (the ergonomic "M" position). Do not use the carrier if you cannot achieve a safe, snug and supported fit.
Finding the correct fit — the "M" position
In all positions, baby's knees should be higher than their bottom, with fabric supporting the thighs.
Correct: baby is seated deeply, knees higher than bottom, thighs supported.
Too narrow: if thighs aren't fully supported, adjust to a wider setting.
Too wide: if fabric reaches beyond the knees or restricts movement, adjust to a narrower setting.
Securing the waist belt
Position the waist belt around your body with the labels facing inward, toward your body.
Start around your natural waist; adjust slightly up or down for comfort.
Feed the buckle under the elastic safety strap, then connect until you hear a click.
Tighten until the belt lies flat against your body with no gaps or looseness.
Important
Always secure the waist belt before placing your child in the carrier. Never remove the waist belt until your child has been fully removed.
Front carry — baby facing inward
Use range: 7–35 lb / 3.2–16 kg. Baby must face inward until they can hold their head upright. Thigh support must be buttoned onto the top, outer panel button. Always keep one hand supporting your child while fitting and adjusting.
Secure the waist belt with the carrier panel centered on the front of your body.
Lengthen both shoulder straps fully and unfasten the buckles.
Lift the body panel by placing the right shoulder strap on your right shoulder.
Pull the right shoulder strap across your back.
Connect the right shoulder strap buckle to the buckle on the left side of the body panel until it clicks.
Pick up your child facing inward. Support baby with one hand while slipping their left leg between the panel and your body.
With your other hand, slip baby's right leg under the strap already buckled into the side of the panel.
Lift the body panel behind baby's back and pull the left shoulder strap over your left shoulder.
Pull the left shoulder strap across your back and connect it to the buckle on the right side until it clicks.
Tighten both side straps evenly — close and secure, but not pressed too tightly. Allow room for head movement.
Ensure baby's bottom is seated deeply just above the waist belt. Gently lift baby's calves into the "M" position.
Check baby's face is visible, nose and mouth clear, chin off chest, and baby is breathing normally.
Removing from front inward carry
Support your child's bottom with one hand.
With your other hand, unbuckle one shoulder strap.
Switch hands to keep supporting your child, then pull the loose strap behind their back.
Holding your child securely, unbuckle the other shoulder strap.
Bring the loose straps behind your child's back while keeping one hand on them.
Lift your child out. Only remove the waist belt after your child is fully out.
Front carry — baby facing outward
Use range: 13–22 lb / 5.9–10 kg. Only when baby has strong head and neck control and is awake.
Do not let baby sleep in the facing-out position
Thigh support must be buttoned onto the lower set of buttons. The seat must be on the widest setting. The neck support must be fastened on the outside of the carrier panel.
Secure the waist belt with the panel centered on the front of your body.
Lengthen both shoulder straps fully and unfasten the buckles.
Lift the body panel by placing the right shoulder strap on your right shoulder.
Pull the right shoulder strap across your back.

Pivot baby's pelvis forward and pull the seat under baby's thighs so they are comfortably seated.
Removing from front outward carry
Support your child with one hand.
With your other hand, unbuckle one shoulder strap.
Switch hands to keep supporting your child, then pull the loose strap behind their back.

Back carry
Use range: 18–35 lb / 8.2–16 kg.
Warning
Only use back carry when baby has strong head and neck control and can sit unaided. Have another adult assist you until you're fully comfortable doing this alone. Back carry can be used only in the middle or widest seat setting — not the narrowest. Thigh support must be buttoned onto the top, outer button.
Secure the waist belt with the panel centered on the back of your body.
Place one shoulder strap over one arm.
Place your child on the opposite hip.
Use the arm free from the strap to move your child from your hip into the carrier, while the arm in the strap secures them.
Lean forward slightly so your child can rest their weight on your back as you position them.
Keeping a slight forward lean, smooth the body panel up your child's back.
Slip your other arm through the second shoulder strap, like putting on a backpack.
Tighten the adjustable straps under your arms for a snug fit. Ensure your child is comfortable and close.
Gently lift your child's calves so the legs stay in the "M" position.
Check your child regularly — seated securely and breathing normally.
Removing from back carry
Lean forward slightly and loosen the straps under your arms.
Remove the shoulder straps one at a time, always supporting your child with one hand.
Slide your child carefully from your back to your hip.
Remove your child from the carrier. Only remove the waist belt after your child is fully out.
