Our sweater is cut roomy through the body and long in the sleeve and hem, so it is worn cuffed at first and full length later. Most little ones get a season and a half from one size.

Each sweater is knitted and finished by hand, so allow 1 to 2 cm (up to 0.8 in) either way.

Choosing a size

By age. The size names follow age, and for most babies that is the right call. The fit is already generous, so there is no need to size up for room to grow.

By a sweater they already own. Lay a favorite sweater flat, measure the chest edge to edge under the arms, and match it to the chest column above. This is the most reliable way to choose.

If they are near the top of a size. Within 2 cm of the top of a chest range, or in a growth spurt, choose the next size. The sleeves and hem cuff neatly until they grow into it.

Ordering ahead of a birth or a date. For a newborn gift, 0-3M is the keepsake size and 3-6M is the one that gets the most wear. For a first birthday, 12-18M.
